Paul Whybird

Head of DCC Ventures

Paul Whybird brings more than 25 years of transformative experience in global business with a specialised focus on Technology Commercialisation.

With an extensive background spanning international business, manufacturing, technology, supply chain, and marketing, Paul is known for leading solution-driven, market-facing teams. Paul expertise help him to secure long-term deals and partnerships with multi-national clients, contributing to shareholder and customer value.

At DCC Ventures, he champions a hands-on approach, crafting clear Technology Commercialisation strategies, fostering high-performance teams, and navigating successful turnarounds. Paul is also a seasoned sailor, having conquered the challenges of the last ten Sydney to Hobart yacht races.

Emily Jeffrey

Grants and Incentives Specialist

Emily brings 13 years of experience in government grants and incentives advisory, having worked with two of the big four accounting and professional service firms in the world. During her career, Emily has worked with a range of clients from start-ups and family businesses, non-profits to top tier corporates as well as inward investors, helping them to navigate the government grants and incentives landscape.

Prior to consulting, Emily worked in the Federal Public Service in Canberra for the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science and Research and the Department of Defence. She also spent time in the office of the Cabinet Minister for Industry and Innovation. She has a deep understanding of government policy making, particularly in the industry space.

At DCC Ventures, Emily uses her in-depth knowledge and passion for helping businesses grow to guide clients through the process of finding and applying for grants and incentives in an exceedingly competitive market.
